The Beginning Basics of Scandinavian Folk Dance Classes It's a series of classes for beginners Each four-part class will cover steps and techniques of a basic ballroom-type dance, such as the polka or waltz (but with their special Scandinavian folk character), along with several related line- or circle-type group dances The full 4-month series will cover several popular folk dances of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland that we regularly enjoy at our twice-monthly recreational dances Each month's class will be taught at a fun, approachable beginner level We encourage you to take as many classes as possible
