Singer Yunuen Carrillo with Mexico Lindo, Mariachi Sol de Jalisco, and Ballet Solana at the Viridian Center, Saturday, January 11th 7:00 pm This event is free Yunuen Carrillo is a Utah’s recognized mariachi music singer Her talent as a singer, charisma and hard work has led her to participate in the most important events in the Latin community along the state Being on stage had been part of her life since her early youth, performing in the most important symbols of Arts in Mexico such as "El Palacio de Bellas Artes" She has travel to many states of Mexico as a dancer and singer She is always looking for opportunities to perform and become better in what she loves She studied Mexican Folklore, Music, and theater Yunuen strongly believes in the importance of heritage and culture to new generations, so they can better identity themselves and serve proudly their communities Yunuen Carrillo will be accompanied by experienced musicians Paredes family on the flute, trumpet, violins, Roberto Vargas on the guitar, Lester Rojas on the guitarron and Mariachi "Sol de Jalisco" that will enhance the exquisite sounds of the Mexican Folklore Ballet Solana directed by Patty Maloy will perform folkloric dances as the music goes Come and enjoy this unique experience
Ballet Solana Folklorico Dance Group is a Mexican heritage folkloric dance group with dancers ranging from 6 yrs old to adults All are dedicated, hard-working individuals with a goal to present authentic and beautiful dances from Mexico Our goal is to preserve the authenticity of Mexican cultural dances by learning dances from the different regions of Mexico Each region is unique in steps and costume Throughout the past year students work hard on learning intricate foot work and delicate skirt work, building self -esteem, creating new friendships and developing a love for folklorico dance We are excited to share our talent and culture with you!
